Scouts

Through a balance of outdoor adventure, practical skills, teamwork and community involvement, students are encouraged to challenge themselves, work collaboratively and grow into confident and responsible individuals.

Objectives

1. Develop Practical Skills
   Equip students with essential outdoor and life skills such as first aid, navigation, camping, knot tying and basic survival techniques.

2. Build Leadership and Teamwork
   Develop students’ ability to communicate, collaborate, solve problems and take on leadership responsibilities through team activities and projects.

3. Foster Service and Social Responsibility
   Encourage students to contribute to the school and wider community through service-learning activities and environmental initiatives.

4. Promote Character and Personal Growth
   Nurture confidence, resilience, self-discipline, integrity and a sense of responsibility through meaningful experiences and personal reflection.

Programme and Activities

1. Outdoor Adventure and Scoutcraft
Students participate in camping, hiking and outdoor activities where they learn practical skills such as tent pitching, campcraft, fire safety, cooking, knot tying, orienteering and basic survival techniques. These experiences encourage self-reliance, resilience and an appreciation for the outdoors.

2. Leadership and Teamwork
Through team challenges, problem-solving activities and group projects, students learn to communicate effectively, support one another and work towards common goals. Students are also given opportunities to take on leadership roles, plan activities and guide their peers.

3. Service and Community Engagement
Students take part in service-learning projects and initiatives that encourage them to contribute meaningfully to the school and community. Activities may include environmental projects, recycling initiatives, community events and other forms of service.

4. Scoutcraft and Badge Development
Students develop a range of scouting skills through structured training and badge work. Areas may include first aid, cooking, pioneering, navigation, outdoor skills and leadership. Badge work provides students with clear goals and opportunities to develop new interests and competencies.

5. Character and Values Education
Scouting places strong emphasis on values such as integrity, respect, responsibility, perseverance and care for others. Through discussions, activities and real-life experiences, students learn to apply these values in their daily lives and reflect on their personal growth.

The Scouts CCA provides students with meaningful opportunities to learn by doing, lead with purpose and serve with heart. Through outdoor adventures, skill-based activities, leadership experiences and service initiatives, students are empowered to discover their strengths, overcome challenges and grow into confident, responsible and caring individuals.
